Sun Pharma Associate Course: A Collaborative Initiative by Sun Pharma and VIVEC
Three years ago, Dr. Sapna Chaudhary, the then CHRO of Sun Pharma, visited VIVEC and suggested that the institution should explore opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector. This visionary idea led to the development of a specialized training program tailored to meet industry needs.
In January 2025, in collaboration with Sun Pharma, VIVEC started the Sun Pharma Associate Course, an exclusive program designed specifically for girls. The initiative aimed to equip young women with essential skills and knowledge required in the pharmaceutical industry. The course received an overwhelming response, and after a rigorous selection process, 21 candidates were chosen through an interview process.
The course curriculum was meticulously designed by experts from Sun Pharma and VIVEC, ensuring that the training aligned with industry standards. Upon successful completion of the program, all 21 participants secured a one-year apprenticeship at Sun Pharma with a monthly stipend of Rs.10,000. Futher after completing the apprenticeship they will be hired at Sun Pharma. This initiative has not only empowered young women with career opportunities but has also strengthened the bridge between Skill training institute and industry, paving the way for future collaborations.
